Series Connection: Connecting two or More Batteries Together to increase
the voltage of Battery, But their is no change in Amps-hour Rating is called
Series connection. In Series Battery connection end-to-end to form Single path
for current flow. Ex: connected 12V Batteries of 3 in Series 12V+12V+12V=36V
100Ah For 3 Batteries is equal of 100Ah Only (Ah remains Same)
Parallel Connection:In Parallel connection two or more batteries, All positive terminals are
conected Together, And All Negative terminals connected Together then the
Battery Capacity will increase but Voltage remains Same. Ex: In Parallel
Connection 3 Batteries of 12V 100Ah+100Ah+100Ah=300Ah Battery voltage 12V
remains Same (No changes in Voltage)
Main Difference between Parallel and series Battery connection is In Series
voltages Added Together, In Parallel their Capacities added
Together.Connecting Batteries in series increses voltage, but does not
increase amp-hours Capacity. In parallel increases total current capacity by
decreasing total reasistance of battery, it also increases overall amp-hour
Capacity. The parallel circuit is better than series circuit. Beacause in
parallel connection each appliance gets the full voltage.
